With their Cruel Summer album just two weeks away, the G.O.O.D Music crew have taken their "New God Flow" to the cover of the upcoming August/September issue of Complex magazine. The stark black-and-white image features the faces of Kanye West, Common, Q-Tip, Kid Cudi, John Legend, Pusha T, 2 Chainz and John Legend arranged in the shape of a crucifix .
The issue also features a roundtable discussion with what Complex
calls "the strongest lineup in the rap game," with all the faces on the
cover — minus Kanye, who still isn't talking to the press — chiming in.
"We
dress the best, we rap the best, we sing the best, we look the best,"
Big Sean boasts. "Ain’t nobody perfect, you know what I’m saying? But
we’re probably the closest motherf--kers to it."
The interview
includes Def Jam signee 2 Chainz, who explains his unofficial membership
on Kanye's roster. "I’m not officially signed, paperwork-wise, to
G.O.O.D. Music," he says.
"But I have a great rapport with
’Ye...I’ve talked to ’Ye 1,000 times about trying to make this situation
work for the both of us, so it won’t feel like anyone is getting used
or anything... I came from a situation with DTP, being under Luda, where
I got a phobia. Sometimes when an artist signs another artist, they’re
so worried about themselves. And with ’Ye, he helps everybody."yea gud news but what beats me the most is the photo, why in Gods name would it be shaped like the crucifix and sup with the 'IN GOOD WE TRUST'well............drop your comments people.
